Hi - I'm Brian

Raised in the north east of England, I spent my early years among the mining communities and  worked as a fitter in several coal mines.  Since retirement, I've written several stories based on the places and characters I met in those days. I have also written a few of what I call whimsical stories for Thanet Writers - a web based magazine.

One of my North East based stories (The Brides Of Seldom Seen) gained the runners up prize at the Lindisfarne Prize For Crime fiction competitiion. I've placed a link to the story below if anyone wishes to read it.
